Who they are

A knifemaker who'd grown from a workbench craft into hundreds of blades moving across cases, tables, and retail stores — the good kind of problem, and a hard one to keep straight.

The challenge

The whole operation lived in spreadsheets that couldn't keep the totals right, couldn't say what was where, and — worst of all — couldn't come with him to the bench where the actual work happens.

Why off-the-shelf wasn't enough

Boxed inventory tools assume you sell one kind of thing, one way. A maker counting blades by type across cases and stores doesn't fit that mold, and forcing it in would have meant more work, not less.

What we built, and what's next

An app that installs right onto his phone, tracks every knife by type and location, keeps a running count across every case and store, and lets him snap and attach photos in seconds — made to be used one-handed at the bench. It always has the right numbers now, the spreadsheets are retired, and the same foundation is ready for materials and sales tracking whenever he wants them.
